Outside of his professional endeavors, Ted Catino is an avid National Football League (NFL) fan who counts the Cincinnati Bengals among his favorite teams.

Seeking to improve its defense, the Bengals signed linebacker Kevin Minter to a one-year, $4.25 million contract in March. Ranked as one of the five best free agent linebackers by Pro Football Focus, Minter is an above-average coverage player who recorded a combined 81 tackles, four defended passes, and 3.5 sacks last season with the Arizona Cardinals.

Unlike the Bengals acquisitions of Karlos Dansby and A.J. Hawk in recent years, Minter is a relatively young player with room to grow. A former second round pick of the Cardinals, the 26-year-old worked his way into the team’s starting lineup in the previous two seasons and has shown vast improvement. Throughout his career, the Louisiana State University alumnus has 224 tackles, six defended passes, five sacks, one safety, and one forced fumble.
